-Changes name to The Noble Knights Club
A social and humanitarian organization in Ikorodu, formerly called and known as, ‘The Knight Club’, has now changed its name to, ‘The Noble Knight Club.
The club, which celebrated its 22nd Founders’ Day anniversary, on Saturday, July 29, 2023, announced the change of name, in a statement on Sunday, signed by Kt. Taiwo Patunola, the General Secretary, and Kt. Oluwaseyi A. Adelabu, the President of the club.
The club explained that the changed was necessary, following the registration of the club with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
“On this day, July 29, 2001, The Knights Club was founded as a social/humanitarian Club, Over the years, the club has been performing this dual role in Ikorodu Division”, the club said.
“Today, the Club’s name has been changed to The Noble Knights Club, following its registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of Nigeria.
“As part of its tradition and practices, the Club in marking its 22nd anniversary, paid a visit to the Lagos State Rehabilitation and Training Center, Owutu, Isawo Road, Ikorodu, today, Saturday, July 29, 2023, to donate food items, toiletries/detergents, clothing & footwears, and other needed items.
“The Club delegation was led by its President, Kt. Oluwaseyi A. Adelabu and accompanied by the first/former President & Chairman, Board of Trustees – Kt. Olatunji Odupe, and other notable members of the Club”, it said.
The club expressed its appreciation to its patroness and patrons, for their support over the years.
“While thanking God Almighty for His grace on members over the years, the Club further expressed sincere gratitude to one of its Patroness, Alhaja Sukurat Adejoke Aminu, CEO of ABITOP Nig. Ent., for her maximum support and co-sponsoring of items donated to the rehabilitation center.
“We pray that the Almighty Allah will continue to shower His abundant blessings upon her and her businesses.
“On an equal note, the Club appreciates all its pillars under the Grand Patronship of Sen. (Dr.) Kingsley Adeseye Ogunlewe, for their love, and support over time”.
The Noble Knights Club also announced that it will be visiting the rehabilitation centre again before this year runs out as part of its pledge, while also calling on the members of the public to support the centre with food, clothing and other items.
“As part of the promises made to the center, the Club will be paying another visit before the end of the year to donate materials to the babies’ section of the rehabilitation home”, it stated.
“Conclusively, the Club is calling on other well-meaning individuals, families, clubs/associations, religious bodies, and groups, to support the center and other less privileged homes in our society”, the Noble Knights Club appealed .
